About Us

The Coffee Roast is Liscards first original coffee shop, dating back to as late as the 1940s, it has always been at the heart of the community and specialising in the finest coffee. Most people's memories of this shop are from the roaster in the window and the wide variety of different beans from across the world not to mention Vibrant Vi performing the piano in the window.

On June 1st 2026 Claire took over this establishment after working in the hospitality industry for over 20 years. Claires dream is to restore this shop to its original glory and put it back on the map.

Within the shop you will find all homemade cakes made by Claire herself, with a mix of dairy free and vegan being her speciality.

All ingredients are as locally sourced as possible while trying to remain affordable for everybody to enjoy.

Called in for breakfast whilst working in the area. Found the place on google, great location and a large car park to the rear, so ideal.

Now, about the important part…. The service is excellent and everyone is friendly, the food is very high quality I had a decent full English and loved it. Thick bacon, quality sausages and nice white toast. Less than £7 for a breakfast and a brew!
